Dear Friends:

The real victims of this crisis are the patients (especially the
infirmed elderly, frail children, and the innocent unborn). Maternity
services, a much-needed service in this area, have been discontinued.
The food supply for in-patients has been stopped (requiring family
members to supply this need). Very few medicines for emergency cases
are currently available. It is a difficult and frustrating situation
for both staff and patients, all due to the lack of necessary funds.

So my friends, please help in anyway you can. Let's take the "first
step" towards change, and a better future for these folks in West
Bengal, India.
