I have a pain pump implant too. I got mine on Sept. 2003 I use Morphine only and it is set at 10.000 mg/per day 0.417 mg/hr. It needs to be filled every 61 days. I need no bolster any more. I was on Oxicontin 80 4 per day along with the patch but when we went to Morphine, all that stuff stopped. I feel great 99.9 % of the time. Only when we have a big weather change do I hurt some. If I really hurt, instead of taking the oral narcotics. I smoke a small amount of pot. Maybe once or twice every 2 or 3 weeks if needed. Just about 3 hits will do it. I do not care about getting the high, just the pain relief.

Maybe if you changed to Morphine. it would work better for you.

I feel nothing different when it is getting close to time to refill. I always refill 3 or 4 days before the Alarm date.

What part of the country are you in.? The parametric pressure has a lot to do with your pain. Az. is the best area to get pain relief in.
