Thanks Bob for the info, but I have gotten several opinions from many
different doctors and also from others that have the pump and have had no
problems at all. It is very sad that you had to go thru all that you have. I
have spoken to one man and met him in person and it got him out of a wheel
chair. I have adhesive arach and was suppose to have another surgery and I
opted for the pump instead of the surgery as that will only make my arach
worse. My neighbor has had one for 6 years and not a bit of problems has he
had with it. I have been on every pain med there is and I feel by having the
pump it will be easier on my organs then all these meds. I have done alot of
research on the pump and like I said have seen and talked to many people. It
is very sad that all this happened to you. I pray that something will work
for you. I believe that everything works different for all of us. If this
will give me a little bit of my life back to me then I am willing to take
that chance. I just turned 50 and way to young to give up on my life. But I
am not saying that I haven't heard bad things about them to, but you also
hear all these bad stories about all the bad surgeries and the affects of

Hi please learn a whole lot more about the morphine pump before letting the
doctors put one inside of you I have just gone through my 5th morphine pump
and I almost died from getting mercer infection from every one I had put in
me over the past 8 0r 9 years, the last one the doctor put in me build up so
much preasure from the infection that it blew myside and my spine out and I
spent a month in the hospital I had lost so much blood and spinal fluid I
could have died from that and the infection that I got , I was sent home
after a month in the hospital with a I V in my arm for almost four months
till they could get the infection cleaned up and the meds they used almost
ate my stomach out as well, they will never put another pump in me again,
also I had to have home health care during this time, I also lost all my
iron and had to be treated for that at the Cancer Clinic. So as you can see
I been to hell and back many times over the morphine pump
So Please don't rush into letting some doctors talk you into having one put
in to your sidecause when they put one in your stomach they have to run a
lead from that pump to your back that also can cause real problems and lead
you right into some real bad problems like I had, also you run into problems
with the pump fliping over and went you go to have the pump refilled which
will be about ever 4 to 5 wks and if the pump is flipped over at that time
the pain clinics will not mess with them to try to flip it back so they can
fill this they will tell you that you have to go back to the doctor that put
your pump in to have him flip that pump over and you will have to hold that
pump in place with your hands untill you get back to the pain clinic so they
can fill it and just as soon as the pump is filled it will flip it self over
again and the pump will not work right and you will not get the right amount
of morphine going into your spine and if that happens you will suffer like
you never suffered before and that is another thing that I had to go through
for almost six month before the doctor that put the pump would agree to go
in and move the pump to my right side by him leaving me in this mess for six
monrh and several other doctors over this six month time to get that pump
removed from my left side and to move it back to my right side trying to
tell him durning this time the pump got pushed down into my left hip and
damaged my hip to the point that now I have to have total hip replacement
also when he did give and moved the pump back to my right side I ended up
with 3 more deadly infection and that is when the pump came out for the last
time. So I hope what I have told you that it give you food for though and
think real hard and long before haveing the pump put in really think this
thing out good before you jump into it. You know all of your major Medical
Clinics do not approve of the morphine pump, because of the many problems
that so many people like myself had with them also some has told me that
they have had to remove almost as many as some doctor has put in to people .
The morphine is just another big money maker for some doctors, like my
doctors tell me they have been putting in as many as a 100 a month into
patients, but again they will never tell you just how many of the pump are
being remove for the reason of infectins and a lot of other problems
