Hello everyone,

I came across this group by accident but I'm really glad I did.  My close friend
was recently diagnosed with arachnoiditis.  He's had a lot of bad luck with
doctors (I'm sure that doesn't come as a surprize to anyone here!) but I
promised I'd see if I could find someone good in the Philadelphia area.

On top of that, anyone who has any tips, I'd really appreciate it.  He's 29 and
while he's doing a great job fighting it, it's getting worse so fast that it takes my
breath away.  Right now he's on time-release morphine that does next to
nothing, and sometimes he takes an anti-inflammatory, maybe once a week. 
The other day he forgot where he was and what he was doing for a few
minutes.  It scared us both so I wondered if anyone else had any similar
experiences from the morphine? 

My heart goes out to all of you bravely fighting this terrible disease.  Thanks
