Although I have never been dx'd with Arach after Depo Medrol Lidocaine Lumbar ESI in 2004 followed by disectomy and fusion C5-7 2005 my joint pain and weakness seriously increased also!! I continue to have Flare Ups of All Distinct Symptoms of Arach!!! Actually I have, because of Gross Negligence of former neuro experts, a small permanent C cord lesion fom prolonged disc herniations, spondylosis, stenosis, Myelopathy!! Experts insisted I didn't need spinal surgery in 2004 after multiple disc injuries caring for and assisting with multidisabled teens When I Damn Well Did!!! I have learned through research on the net that once your spinal cord is damaged this does In Fact Negatively Affect The Joints!!!  Not Enough Blood And Nutrients get to your joints anymore after spinal cord damage!!! Since all of my spinal disc injuries and dx's of ACM 0, Thorasic Syringomyelia, etc.,  Cartilage is deteriorating and damaged through all of my body!!! Breastbone, Ribcage, Facet Joints, Shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, hands, feet!! I even have cartilage damage in my throat, vocal cords and can no longer sing well like I used to!!! It has never been officially dx'd either, but I know I now have what they call Connective Tissue Disorder!!! This disorder comes along with ACM 0 and Syringomyelia, but I truly believe it is a direct result of Any and All Damage to The Spinal Cord and Spinal Nerves!!! Again With Any Kind of Damage To Spinal Cord No Longer Is There Enough Blood Supply and Nutrients To Keep The Joints And Cartilage Healthy And Strong!!! I have Chronic Pain, Weakness, Cracking, Popping, Clicking and Rubbing of Most of My Joints!! As I've said even through my breastbone and ribcage!!! Costochondritis is the dx for inflammation of the breastbone, sternum, ribcage area. It is arthritis of the breastbone!!! So far I do not notice any serious swelling in my joints other than my fingers at times. Anyway So I Agree that Once the Spine Becomes Seriously Damaged, Degenerated Everything Else Just Goes To Pot Including Any and All Joints in the Body!!! Do some research for yourself and you will find info that explains once the spinal cord is damaged from Injury, Defects, Disease, Myelopathy which is serious Compression of the Spinal Cord this also leads to Joint and Cartilage Deterioration, Damage!! Hope All Members Find Relief of Sensory, Neuro and Arthritis Pain More Days Than Not!!!!!
