Hello Jeff, thanks for your reply. I have gotten a lot of information
and read a lot about this condition from every source that I could
find it. And I still don't understand it all. I always thought that
(itis) meant inflammation of. Like in Bronchitis, Neuritis,
Cholecystitis, Meningitis, Otitis, Osteoarthritis, Arthritis, etc.
Everything with itis in the suffix such as Myocarditis means Myo =
Muscle, Card = heart, itis = inflammation of, So Myocarditis =
Inflammation of the muscles of the heart. That is how I was always
taught. But, I have to agree with you. Even though it's never been
proven that I have heard. I too believe that Adhesive Arachnoiditis
somehow is connected to our auto-immune system also. Weather it is
secondary to getting Arachnoiditis first. I knew that the spinal cord
was made up of three layers. But, I never knew that "Dura mater meant
hard mother and Pia mater meant tender Mother. I guess an old dog can
always learn new things, thanks. I'm just really disappointed in the
Medical Community and the way they mislead their patients about
everything that's going on with them and blaming the victim for what
is their responsibility. Best regards Michael in Washington State
