I am on neurontin. I take 800mg 4 times a day. I am also on several other drugs though so I don't know if the neurontin is helping or the combination of all of them is what is helping a little. I take vicodin es 4 times a day, soma(muscle relaxer) 3 times a day, ultram 50mg 2 tablets taken in between the vicodin, celebrex(inflamation) 1 time a day, amitriptyline 1 at bedtime. This combination helps but it doesn't take pain away completely but enough to function to a degree.  I don't think anything will make you completely pain free but I can at least do most things the average person does but not extreme physical things. I am for the most part happy with the results I get from my combination of medications since I have adjusted to all the side effects.
