Jay,
I have the stimulator that you are talking about. It has been great for my legs, but did absolutely nothing for my back pain and the neuropathic pain in my right buttock. I have only had mine for about 6 months and at my doctors visit friday, he told me that they have come out with a different stimulator that is supposed to better on the back pain and sciatic nerve pain. Be sure and check it out as to which system you are getting before you say yet. I currently have the 2 lead system, which means you can control the right side of your body completely seperate from the left side.
As I said, mine has done well for my legs, but not much else.
Wishing you the best!
Christie

Greetings to one and all. I haven't seen too many postings on this site? I hope that means that
everyone is doing better!
My pain had become so intense that I agreed to have a trial implant of a spinal stimulator. It is
basically a wire lead inserted into the spine, leading to a small computer which has custom
programs designed to relieve my pain. The trial lasts for five days. If I get relief and want to
have the permanent implant, they withdraw the single lead, wait for a couple of weeks, and then
implant two leads, and an implanted control computer, which has a rechargeable battery.
There is an external device which I can use to control the amount of current, and where it goes.
I'm very happy to say that so far it has worked wonders. I am able to stand for much longer
periods of time. The pain in my legs and feet has been replaced by a pleasant electrical stimulus.
I have until Monday to decide if I am going to keep it.
If anyone has had experience with this, I'd like to hear your experiences, even if they are
negative.
Kindest regards from Tampa,
Jay M.
