This is primarily a group for Past Patients of Dr. Sidney Appel and Past, Present, & Future Patients of Scott Steinberg of Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Appel performed the Laparascopic and Open RNY. Dr. Steinberg performs the Laparascopic RNY and the Laparascopic Band.

However, anyone interested in WLS can join. We recognize that the patient is not the only person whose life is transformed by this surgery, for that reason, we encourage significant others, family members and friends to attend the meetings and participate on this board.

We discuss all matters of Weight Loss Surgery, including but not limited to before and after care. This group is also an extension of Dr. Ritz's monthly after care support groups, which could be helpful for those of you that cannot make the monthly meeting.

We ask in respect of one another to refrain from posting religious and political affiliations as well as solicitation. This group offers support 24/7.  It is quite active and its value is immeasurable. One can post any questions, comments or celebrations. You will find the priceless gift of friends, dignity, character, faith, laughter and compassion. In light of the personal nature of our posts, confidentiality is essential.
