Hi Lesley,
I've copied the Junk Thoughts post below which explains about the
adrenaline allergy and will help with the confusion.
Before I knew about the adrenaline allergy and when I was unsure what
to tap on because of overwhelm I concentrated on the most distressing
physical symptom first
Even though my heart is beating so fast...
If the reason for it was obvious I would tag that on the end
Even though my heart is beating so fast at the thought of having a
bath...
Sometimes I would just start with the physical symptom and as I tapped
the reason would become clear on a certain point which I then just
included in the shortened form as I continued down.
See what tapping on the adrenaline allergy for a day or two does, it
will really help to clear your head and let you see what needs
attention.
Love,
Nicola
Junk Thoughts
Ok, have been thinking about this a lot lately.
The thoughts we have when we are anxious, what we think happened, what
caused things, even how things are at the moment are all coloured by our
anxiety, and the ridiculousness of these thoughts rises exponentially
with
the amount of adrenaline careering around our bodies.
What we think is real and why things have happened or are happening to
us is
way outside our powers of reasoning when we are like this.
We have to stop, know that things are wrong, trust me on this, they are
very
very wrong, and go on from there.
It's safe to assume that adrenaline is not the big baddy here either.
When doing its job properly it elevates one to an extraordinary state of
mental clarity and control over one's body, that's what it was designed
to
do and it does it beautifully, preparing us for fight or flight,
allowing us
to make life or death decisions in an instant then giving us extreme
physical power to execute those decisions.
So if this is so then what we have is an inappropriate response to the
adrenaline in our bodies, an allergy, and allergies can be dealt with
most
beautifully with EFT.
Even though I have this adrenaline allergy I deeply and profoundly
accept
myself.
So, for the time being let us put aside what we think we know has
caused our
anxieties and panic attacks and concentrate on reducing our overall
stress
levels by working on our allergy to adrenaline and see where that takes
us
and see if it can give us all some clarity to work with.
Waves to everyone,
Nicola
