Hi Kristyn,
And welcome to the group.
Firstly, grab yourself a copy of the EFT Protocol from my site, there's
a link to it at the end of the Panic Attack and EFT article on the
front page.
Familiarise yourself with the technique, it's very easy, and after a
little practice you can then start to deal with the anxiety surrounding
driving.
Create opening statements that cover all your feelings, horrors and
fears that come up while you are just thinking about driving. Really
cover every detail such as the fear of being stuck in a traffic jam
which used to freak me out terribly and there were always certain
points in a journey I did regularly that made me panic even more for
completely unknown reasons.
I really don't know how I used to drive when I was panicking, it was
like I held my breath from the moment I got in the car until I got back
out and that couldn't have been a very safe way to drive. Just wish I'd
had EFT back then.
You'll also find that once you have reduced your anxiety levels the
pains you get won't feel quite so acute or threatening
Try the protocol and let us know how it goes. If you get into any
difficulties just ask.
And many congratulations on your graduation!
Nicola
