Hi everyone,
I subscribed a couple of weeks ago but still have not introduced
myself. I am a married 26 year old with 2 beautiful girls. I first
started dealing with panic attacks about 4 years ago. They were
horrible and still are. I got on paxil and it helped but I had a
hard time getting off of it. I would never recommend it to anyone.
If it wouldn't have been for my youngest daughter, I would never
have gotten off of it. I had her on Dec.5,2003 and while I was in
the hospital I decided it would be a good time to try getting off
again. It worked, I have been off it for over a year now. I went
panic attack free for 9 months then all of a sudden they came back.
It is horrible. I get sharp shooting pains in my head and I
convince myself I am having a brain anuesym. I know it is silly. I
had a brain MRI in Sept. because of a car accident I was in last
Nov. of 2003, the MRI came back normal but I am still having a hard
time telling myself that I am ok. The hardest thing for me to do is
DRIVE! I hate it, I always have an attack. I refuse to get on
anything that is addictive. Right now I am trying HTP.CALM. Has
anyone ever tried this and does it work? I just graduated with a
bachelors in Criminal Justice and am about to start my internship.
I am really nervous and hope that I can do it. I also have been
trying Xanax for a couple of weeks but that is just for temp.
relief. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Kristyn
