Some of us are at some or other stage of recovery, some of us are mothers or spouses of friends of people with eating disorders, and some of us are still mustering up the courage to seek treatment. All are welcome. We swap stories and share in the tears and the triumph. And there is laughter too - daily giggles and articles just to sweeten the day and put everything back into perspective!


Only these main no-no's really, to prevent members triggering each other inadvertently: no numbers (weights, BMI's, dress sizes) and also no giving out of personal email addys or contact details. However, we no longer accept yahoo or other freemail addresses; your email address must be from an isp service that keeps records of its clients (this is to pre empt hoaxers and malicious spammers).

Newbies please remember to give us a name (it can be very confusing if we have a whole lot of new members all at once). Of course it doesnt have to be your real name, and if it is something like Debbie or Mary etc., then pls give us an initial to go with it, so we can tell the Debbies apart!


SPAM AND ADVERTISEMENTS WILL NOT BE POSTED AND ANYONE TRYING TO FLOG THEIR CRAP ON OUR SITE WILL BE BANNED. NO SECOND CHANCES. GIVE IT UP BECAUSE I MODERATE ALL NEW POSTS AND YOU WILL SIMPLY NOT BE PUT THRU.

And one last thing, it is a long-standing group decision that we don't take part in research (university-approved or otherwise) and I don't release names of group members for people wanting to do interviews for whatever reason. Members can be quite sure that their privacy is protected.
