This is the message board for American Thyroid Patients, a new thyroid patient advocacy organization.

We are tired of having decisions made for us by doctors, insurance companies, drug companies and governmental agencies.

We support the right of thyroid patients to be presented with information about, and access to, all appropriate therapies for their particular thyroid disorders.

Our Mission Statement: "To promote education and support for thyroid patients. To explore and challenge existing diagnostic and treatment practices. To encourage independent research without the aid of pharmaceutical funding."
