Here is an opportunity to learn about the wars and Depleted Uranium from those who were there...

Please see below for an important event in Ohio on April 10.

One of the presenters is Cliff Kindy. Cliff and other Christian Peacemaker Team members physically put their lives in danger and forced the US military to stop using Uranium munitions in Vieques, Puerto Rico. See http://tinyurl.com/36w5kt  for the story.

Cliff has also traveled into radioactively contaminated zones in the Middle East on numerous occasions, putting himself in harm's way in order to bring peace... and an end to radioactive weaponry.

If there is such a thing as saints for non-Catholics, then Cliff Kindy deserves to be sainted. Here is a piece he wrote about the Muslim Peacekeeper Teams reporting on the horrific Depleted Uranium epidemic in both Gulf Wars waged on Iraq.

To learn more about CPT work in stopping the use of Uranium weapons, visit: http://stop-du.org/index.php .

Please spread the word about this event on April 10 in Ohio. The more who learn about the tragic, amoral genociding of two nations by the US use of nuclear materials, the better.

"Too long I have lived among those who hate peace." - Psalm 120:6

"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way." ~~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you." Jean-Paul Sartre

"It is very nearly impossible... to become an educated person in a country so distrustful of the independent mind." - James Baldwin
