Dear Friends,
Just a small thought today on leadership and necessary change. It is easy to read what is going on in the nation - and the rest of the world - and get to feeling rather down and un-inspired...
We are being bombarded - overwhelmed even, quite on purpose -with so many "news" stories - many of them planted as mis or dis-information, in order to throw us off course, off track. Just to name an example, almost all of the so-called "news" stories that come out about the plight of veterans, about the atrocities of the radioactive
genociding of two nations, and about the real facts about Depleted Uranium weapons use inside the US and throughout the world are filled with incorrect facts and figures in an attempt to hide the horrific magnitude of what is actually going down.
The media is embedded with writers who dutifully, obediently work as psychological "spin masters" whose only job it is to bombard us with one masterfully crafted false story, heinous "allowable" atrocity, one phony campaign election verbal battle after another, one worrisome cause after the next (many false flag and new invasion warnings, for example, that actually never transpire) so as to effectively throw the compassionate-hearted into an ADD- distracting tailspin, thus rendering us (if they do their job
right) feeling overwhelmed, despondent, depressed, and dis-empowered.
If you are sometimes feeling helpless or hopeless? Know, first and foremost that you are not alone. Heinous things are going down that boggle the minds and sensibilities of all humans of conscicence who are paying attention - and thus, be absolutely assured you are in good company!
We, however, are smarter than this and can and must recognize the hype and manufactured "news" for what it is... that is, an effort to have us look anywhere but where we should be
looking, doing anything other than something that which is effective in actually not just creating, but rather, forcing change.
So to my friends passionately into human rights, social justice, environmental preservation, and all those who oppose the use of toxic and radioactive Uranium weapons, here are a few thoughts on leadership and affecting change that is absolutely critical right now. There is also info on the bottom about an important, truly exciting, transformational conference coming up in May!
If you agree with what I have written and can help to promote the May
"Building A New World" Conference at which I and many powerful activists will be making presentations, please consider helping to spread the word!
Warm best wishes to all,

This short piece appears here:
When massive numbers of individuals are needlessly suffering and being exploited, when their health, well-being, and basic human rights no longer even appear on the agenda of those in power, what to do? What to do?
First, I maintain, we must keep hope alive. In order for any change to ever
come about, we must first believe that indeed, we can be effective, we will be effective, and that our very own actions - no matter how seemingly small - will yield positive, fruitful results.
Second, we must become more courageous than we even believe we are capable of becoming. We must face our fears boldly, allowing our conscience to be our only guide. We must remember stories of brave and principled individuals throughout history who inspired us by their courage in taking whatever action was necessary to create a better world. These personal heroes must become our
constant companions, our daily guides, the invisible encouraging, supportive presence on our shoulders that never leave us, continually showing us the way out of the darkness and into the light.
Third, we must know with absolute certainty that, in the end, the collective work of massive numbers of good people does indeed triumph over the far smaller percentage of those who conspire to effect harm upon others. Simply by sheer virtue of the fact that the overwhelming majority of people are decent, loving human beings, we unquestionably have the advantage of strength and power of almost
infinite numbers of compassionate, good-hearted people of conscience on our side.
Perhaps so relatively few people of conscience are actively working on creating change because they are waiting for someone else to stand up and show them the way? Isn't it human nature to cautiously wait and see what others are doing before we take the first step? So many people will act when - and only when - they have a leader who they can confidently follow. I maintain that if you and I provide the leadership, if we create
the righteous opportunities for action, people of conscience will indeed appear and step up to the plate.
I encourage you to read the following passive on leadership and join me in contemplating how we can today - and every day to follow -display the qualities of leadership in our lives necessary to force desperately needed change in our society and throughout the world.
With enough love, compassion, determination, hard work, and a strong enough drive to create a world where justice and peace thrive and flourish, we must know, deep down in our hearts and with every fiber of our being ... that we not only must - but indeed can - do this.
The time is now upon us to stand up and boldly become the leaders this world so desperately needs. As the old saying goes, the world simply can not
wait.

"Leadership is not imposed from above, rather it establishes itself through dedication, sincerity, ideological zeal, fighting spirit and all-round capacity. Leaders gradually acquire such capabilities – step by step. A common base of integrity and unity amongst the exploited
members of society will have to be established. This is essential because at the time of revolution there will be an all-out fight against antisocial activities and corruption. The revolutionaries will have to fight against three forces – outside exploiters, internal exploiters and other inner evil forces. All these three forces are powerful. Yet the moral, psychic and spiritual strength of the revolutionaries will be the cause of their victory, because physical weapons are not the only source of power. Moral and spiritual power is infinitely stronger than physical force. Although the primary duty of the revolutionaries is to drive out the exploiters, they also have to ensure that these exploiters do not get new opportunities to capture power or undermine society in the future. The greatest achievement of a revolution is to eradicate exploitation and bring about a progressive change in the collective psychology through the minimum loss of life and
property."
