At my Alma mater, University of Maryland, students can actually now enroll in programs designed to teach them how to become good little brown-shirters and work for the Department of Homeland INsecurity and NSA (National Spy Agency).
In California's UC system, students actually go to the Livermore (or should we say, actually, Liver-less) National [Radiation Nuking] Laboratory to study how to be sociopathic grownups who commit radioactive genocide for a living.
But there is actually a real-life component of "education" at UC, whereby the youngsters get to *watch* demented older people "practice" with open air explosions, blasting the US indiscriminate killing weapon of choice - Depleted Uranium - out into the air that the greater San Francisco Bay
area breathes.
Naturally, the kids are told that inhaling ballistic ceramic Uranium oxide (an actual poison gas created from exploding U-238) outside San Francisco is as safe and harmless as breathing pure O2. It just would not do, after all, for kids to write home to Mom and Dad with fears that their college is nuking them.
Below is some insight into the career of a UC Chancellor who actually spent his entire life masterminding how to teach America's young scholars precisely how to wreck massive numbers of human minds, bodies, and
lives... always in the altruistic interest of course, of bringing them "democracy" and "freedom."
Whata ya wanna bet he blew up frogs for kicks as a kid?
This is a story of how a geek who graduates with a B.S. in civil engineering in 1962 goes on to propel academia into the serious federal Killing Biz.
This piece even explains how ATK, the biggest Depleted Uranium producer [pusher]for Uncle Sam's addictive, dirty, radioactive "habit" works with students in our
universities.
Can someone please tell me when taking out a second mortgage to make sure our kids got a college education became associated with condoning such barbaric
acts?

Chancellor Yang’s Scientific and Administrative Career
Chancellor Yang is a gifted and kind [sic] Chuman being. During his time as Chancellor at UCSB he has helped lead the campus community in numerous positive [in current US fed Orwellian-speak, genocide is now considered a positive value] directions...
All of this serves as a testimony to the scale of the problem facing universities as regards the militarization and corporatization of education and research. In spite of his best intentions, Yang’s career has also been marked by extremely close cooperation with the military, military-industrial corporations, and with industrial companies whose products and management practices are often anathema to social justice and ecological sustainability. Yang is representative of current university leadership. More and more universities are being run by corporate and military leaders. This systematic reality has serious consequences for the kinds of knowledge produces by universities, as well as the university's role in issues of war, racial and economic justice, and ecological destruction.
The following is not intended as a recrimination of Chancellor Yang. Rather, it is to state publicly many unacknowledged facts about his career, and to do so as a means toward questioning the system of American higher [sic] education, its organization, funding, who controls it, and for what ends.
