Talk on Asthma Control-Apnea-TMJ-Buteyko Breathing technique   Message List
Reply Message #1051 of 1240 |

CFIC member and activist Bud Weiss will be on <http://stream.wbai.org/>
Tuesday night.

If you know a child with asthma, or apnea or TMJ or a child who looks like
they might need braces and you want to have a safe self correcting
alternative proven through many thousands of clients world wide listen in
Tonight
Tuesday to WBAI 99.5 FM in the New York City area, or
http://stream.wbai.org/ world wide from 7 to 9 PM EST.

It will be archived at http://archive.wbai.org/ for 90 days available for
download or listening.

In fact if you know any child who is predominantly a mouth breather, you
will be shocked at how easy it is to get all these things prevented or
corrected most often just by using the inexpensive brilliantly designed book
and
video being discussed on this program. It is presented by Barnett (Bud)
Weiss, M.A.,L.C.S.W. a long time activist in our field and the senior
Buteyko Educator in the US having taught hundreds of persons these techniques
ending so many health problems without the continuation of medications or
machines.

BACKGROUND:

Should you need actual clinical assistance with any child with special
needs, or even a troubled, or disruptive child, then I highly recommend you
contact:
Barnett J. Weiss, MA, LCSW, <Bud.weiss@...> (917)-751-3395
www.Buteykonyc.com

Bud's wide range of experience and counseling services can be sumarized as
follows:

--- Over 50 years of experience working with children on the Autism
Spectrum, as well as all children with developmental challenges, along with all
children and families with respect to school issues.
--- As a former social worker with NYC Board of Education for 25 years,
he often assists parents in negotiating with the board of education to
obtain the best available special education services, as well as to remove
children from special education, where appropriate.
--- Assists parents in the creation and revision of their child's IEP to
achieve the best educational settings and programs for them.
--- Presently involved in creating a program for the Lexington School
for the Deaf, having first presented to their clinical staff this past Fall.
--- Instructor in the very successful, non-drug breathing exercises
known as the Buteyko Method, which eliminates the symptoms of asthma and other
breathing conditions. See www.Buteykonyc.com
--- Consultant to public and private schools in both regular and special
education settings in the instruction of the "Nurtured Heart Approach"
(Described here: http://www.childrens-success-foundation.org/ ), and in
recent years has appeared on several radio shows in the New York City area to
discuss the Nurtured Heart Approach.

Applications of the Nurtured Heart Approach have been enormously
successful. Since 1994, thousands of teachers around the world have received
this
training and have had consistent experiences of not only shifting the intense
child into using their great energies in constructive, creative and
successful ways, but of seeing the "average" child flourish well beyond normal
expectations.

As the senior Advanced Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach in the New
York City area, in consultation with parents, teachers, and others
responsible for children such as foster care agencies and their foster
families, Bud
Weiss assists them in being able to, not simply help their children do
better in their lives, but to actually assist them in achieving what can only
be described as transformation. This is seen in the conversion of that
energy that had been apparently working against them often in what appeared to
be defiance and ADD or ADHD now fuels their living up to and beyond the
expectations of all involved.

Please note that with the "average" child, they flourish beyond all
expectations as they begin to build their inner sense of wealth that manifests
itself out into the world in their excitement about exploration and mastery.
Bud has worked with children with all classifications in special education
in this process, as well as the mainstream population.
