Lawrence, my husband had a bout of this when he was in great physical
pain from a motorcycle incident. You can read his account, "Pain,
Pain, Go Away" on our website, www.peacerus.com
He was literally signing out of life physically, emotionally, and
spiritually. Nothing interested him, and the only strong feelings he
could muster were of anger. We know many people who are living this
way, and we call them "Shadow People". I don't think the real problem
lies in lack of emotion -- that is just the symptom of the deeper
problem. There is some kind of issue in your mind or in your history
that is keeping you from wanting to live a real life of
consciousness, activity, and sharing on a deep level with anyone.
Most of the Shadow People we know talk all the time about things in
the past. They are generally pretty negative, although they may try
to retain an optimistic face to others. The biggest clue is that they
have no real dreams left to work toward. They are just surviving on a
day-to-day basis. If any of this sounds familiar, let me know.
