We now have an official Alpine County Webpage for Search and Rescue!
http://www.alpinecountyca.gov/departments/sheriff/search_rescue
Please call Tom, our Deputy Coordinator, and Buck, our Civilian
Coordinator, and ask them to update the official county webpage
"Contact Information" this week! Also, let them know they still need
to sign in and check out the current yahoo website (we've had up for
months, now):
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AlpineSAR/
Please, help me get Tom and Buck to do their parts to get this done
promptly. We have people willing to do the rest!
We should utilize the scheduling calendar and forum that were created
within the county website. We can also move any of our yahoo website
content that we wish to the county website, but we need to decide how
much we wish to make public and how much we wish to remain within our
own private website. Please let me know.
Let's move on this. Please help. Thank you.

Subject : Search and Rescue Site
Jerard,
I added a "search and rescue" page within the county website,
including a link to your yahoo groups page. Just so you know, I did
create a forum for search and rescue within the county site that has
never been used. You can also have your own scheduling calendar
within the county website. I tried to correspond with Lynn Doyal
about this over a year ago, and nothing ever happened with it. So, if
you want to move your yahoo content into the official county site,
that is something we could do (and the county site would offer you
more flexibility and power in how things are set up). Let me know and
I can probably work more closely with on this over the summer months.
