I am a practitioner of alternative medicine living in India. I had
Asthma in childhood, so when I started praticing my main interest
was to try and cure asthma patients. What I observed was that a
majority of the asthma patients have suppression of skin diseases in
their history, hence when homeopathic and/or other natural medicines
are properly prescribed the patient reports a recurrance of old skin
sympotoms.

In some cases old coryza (cold) symptoms return and the patient
reports that he had sufered from chronic cold earlier. This indicates
that the asthma was a result of supression of chronic cold i.e. the
disease was pushed down into the lower respiratory tract from the
upper respiratory tract with strong medicines. Such recurrance of
old suppressed symptoms during treatment is a welcome sign because
it indicates that the case is proceeding towards cure, provided that
it is also accompanied by lessening of the severety of asthma
symptoms.

Such suppressions are the result of strong medications which suppres
the symptoms and are mistaken for cure. Also when asthma is
suppressed (cured?) with strong medications, later on, the patient
becomes a victim of High BP, Rheumatism, Hypothyroidism, etc. If you
ask old people they will tell you that 25 years back when there were
no strong medicines for asthma. People with asthma used to live
upto a ripe old age inpite of getting several attacks of asthma
(lasting 3/4days). At other times they could breathe freely and
function normally and were otherwise quite healthy.
