The late Adelle Davis, biochemist, nutritionist, researcher and author, gave the world "freedom of choice in nutrition" by beginning, along with only a handful of others in the middle of the 20th century, the long, ongoing process of educating us as to what is in our foods, and how these substances affect our bodies.
