Welcome! As a founder of this group (ANAWAY) and a prior Acoustic Neuroma patient, I invite you to join us. This group has been set up for AN or NF2 patients [post-operation, pre-operation, recently diagnosed, and "watch-and-wait" (observation)], families, friends, and caregivers. It is designed to raise "awareness" and types of treatments for this rare tumor. This is a "Rare Disease" support group available for anyone interested in sharing information, thoughts, views, etc, associated with Acoustic Neuromas (known as an AN, Vestibular Schwannoma, Schwannoma, Neurinoma, and Acoustic Tumor) or Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (referred as NF2, Central Type Neurofibromatosis, Bilateral Acoustic Schwannomas, BANF, Bilateral Acoustic Neurinoma, Neurofibromin 2, Schwannomin and Merlin). This forum is also open to medical professionals and establishments. We welcome any questions and information regarding this rare lower intracranial-cranial disease. But, please no personal attacks, flaming/flagrant remarks, bias, and offensive messages. We are a loving, compassionate, caring, and civil group of individuals. This behavior will not be tolerated and those who violate this will be asked to leave. Please follow "Netiquette".
