Before I begin to describe this group I want you to know that we are an active group but do not have archives. So when you look at the calendar below it does not reflect the true activity.

This support group has been formed to offer an outstretched hand to adult survivors of abuse (physical, verbal, emotional or sexual abuse). You are not alone and I want you to know that. There is no such word as "dwelling" or that phrase "get over it already" because we all know that abuse from childhood takes a long time to get through and a whole lot of support. Join us on this list and email with others who understand your needs and wants. Seek support from others and be there to support them through their difficult times too.

Please ignore the calendar if it's showing up on your end because we have deleted the archives for confidentiality.

Anyone looking for info for projects, surveys, or is NOT legitimately verbally, physically, sexually or mentally abused is not welcome.

Caution - for security reasons please ask permission via the group to write someone privately.

Please take note that we do not do "special notices" so if you intend to set your email to that you will never get anything from the group. Our suggestion is to do individual messages or digest mode. If for some reason you need a vacation from the group please choose "no email" but try not to stay in that mode for months.

Due to some personality conflicts in the past we have made a minor adjustment when someone joins our group. Until you are approved (the first 4-5 or fewer), your messages will be moderated. Once we see that your messages are fine we will take you off moderated messages. Please don't let that turn you away because we've heard over and over how wonderful the members are.
