I have a lot of the same symptoms you described - the blurred
vision, slurring words, general clumsiness. I just put it down the
getting older...and never even thought of mentioning them to my
doctor. It was unnerving when I suddenly went blind in one eye and
as luck would have it, my doctor was slammed that day - so I saw his
intern... what was so good was that she had previously worked for a
neurologist and knew immediately what was going on. I was sent
directly to the ER for an MRI. (My doctor said that was the fastest
way to get me scheduled for an MRI - otherwise it would be a couple
of weeks to get me in.) I did not think I had had any other signs
either, but once I started doing research - I realized that I had
classic symptoms, and had for months. Like you, I had to go home
and look up MS to find out exactly what it was. I've been one of
the lucky ones - I haven't had any major attacks since I was
diagnosed, and that was about a year ago. I am in the process of
changing jobs and have moved out of the city to get closer family
and hopefully reduce stress. Stress seemed to be my trigger for
minor attacks, and I can only assume they would eventually lead to a
major attack.
Best of luck, Toni
