IV steroids???

My daughter who is 29 and just diagnosed last June has been on Copaxone since
Christmas time. She has already had another episode since starting it. Is this
normal? I was so hoping that she would have some periods of good times. What
do people think of IV steroid treatments. She has had two intensive three day
treatments. The first one she did okay with. The second one was totally
different and she had now vowed that she would never do it again. It is all
just so new to us. As a mother I try to be supportive but am so scared for her.
She is in Alaska and needs to move closer to home to frequent an MS clinic. I
worry if she will be able to find a new job. Will she be able to get
insurance? How long will she be able to work before she becomes disabled?
Soooooooooooo many questions. We are doing a fundraiser at my school to help
support the MS Foundation. I just pray for a cure.

Since your daughter was just diagnosed she doesn't have much history to know if the Copaxone is working or not. It should decrease the frequency of episodes....
