Is MS hereditary?

Hello group,

I have been lurking around for a while and reading some of your postings. Ever
since my mom was diagnosed with MS 9 years ago, I have been afraid that I will
get MS one day. Maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me, but a lot of
symptoms I have been reading sound very familiar. I have had these terrible
dizzy spells for quite some time now, and they seem to be getting worse. Along
with these dizzy spells, I often have uncontrollable shakes in my hands. I
intermittingly get a numb and tingly feeling on three of my fingers on my left
hand. I have a history of migraines so I'm not sure if my headaches are related
in any way. And I have noticed the strangest thing over the last couple of
weeks; my pupil in my left eye is dilated and is disturbingly larger than my
right. I have been debating on bringing this up to my doctor, but - I'm afraid
of what he will tell me. Is MS hereditary? Are there certain symptoms I should
be looking out for? Thanks for listening and any advice is greatly appreciated.

God Bless,
Rachel

I don't think weight has anything to do with it. My left leg doesn't work that well, and it doesn't matter that I wasn't overweight when it started, and it...
