New with unusual symptoms

Hi everyone:

I'm Lisa and 39 yrs old. Have recently been diagnosed with MS. My
brain MRI shows all kinds of lesions. MY back, neck MRI is clear. I
am lucky enough to live close to the Mellen Center where the
nuerologist said "You have MS (per say) but you don't have MS
because the symptoms you have aren't typical MS symtoms so it must
be something else causing it. Come back in 3 months. You found your
MS "by accident".

I'm seeing a local nuerologist tommorrow after my MD and Phsyiatrist
(sp?) both said "Why aren't you starting the shots?"

To make a long story short I have only had a few of the regular MS
symptoms: fatigue, forgetfullness, flu like symptoms, etc. I
haven't had any balance problems, tingling, numbness, or eye
problems. My question is have any of you all had these symptoms.

A feeling of your torso being twisted (imagine taking a Barbie doll
and twisting her torso half way around while leaving her head and
legs straight. Cramping from the base of your skull to your tailbone.
Not like a charlie horse or a regular muscle cramp, or I exercised
to hard cramp. This is like pressure. For lack of better
description imagine having a big water blister on your body that if
it is not "popped" and the water spread out, it'll drive you insane.

I've had steriods and several pain killers and they haven't helped
for maybe two days. I live for my massage chair and a shiatsu
message. Oddly enough the thing that has helped me the most with
this pain is BIOFREEZE! Biofreeze I spray on or rub the gel in and
the coolness almost numbs it. Problem is when I have to put it at
the base of my skull, when it's bad I can literally feel this "water
bubble moving up in my head". I've taken Biofreeze gel and
separated my hair and spread it all up the back of my skull and
around my temples.

Blood tests and pretty much everything else has been ruled out. Has
anyone else had such bizare symptoms? Please let me know what you
think. I'm just killing time using Biofreeze like it's water
waiting for the Doctor's to figure out what they want to do.

Thanks,
Lisa :)

It sounds to me like your neuro wants to pin down the diagnosis. It used to be that you would be put in a "possible" catagory and have to just wait and see....
