A person is only as disabled as they think they are. I was dx'd with r/r MS about 4 years ago, although I'd been dealing with symptoms of it for several years before that. I have occasional memory lapses, muscle spasms, chronic fatigue and all the other things that go along with it. What helps me through it it? Alot of faith and a purpose. I've decided to manage the MS as if it were a business. I schedule in daily rest breaks.I take Baclophen for the muscle spasms, Prozac as an energy agent, Beta Seron injections, and lots of vitamins. Right now I'm doing alot of different volunteer work...all in little bits of time so I can rest when I need it. It keeps me going, knowing that there are many things that I can still do that are appreciated. Don't let anything defeat you!

Subject: I'm so confused
Hi all. 2 months ago I had what was called a TIA or ministroke. My speech
was all jumbled up & I had a large blind spot in one eye. Then I started
having little "episodes" - they said probably little seizures. Then I met w/my
neurologist again & he said the MRI showed what might be MS. So ran
another MRI & EEG. I'll meet w/him again Wed. I've been doing some
research & I'm afraid he might be right. I have "head buzzes" quite often, little "space out" episodes where I just blank out for an instant, I have terrible cramping in my legs and arms (like walking up the stairs or hanging up
laundry) and really bad short term memory losses - like I'll make a phone call
that I just made a few minutes before with no memory at all of the
conversation. I feel like I am going crazy, this is really hard. Could this be MS? Is it going to render me disabled?
Help!

Hi friends -
I have designed a website to help promote the BP MS150
bike tour which raises money to fight MS. I have had MS now for 5
years, and this will be my second year to ride. It is truly an
AWESOME experience!! For anyone interested in visiting my website the
address is: http://www.mscyclemom.com.
Let me know what you think.
