Remember, until the official diagnosis is given, you need to be open to the idea
that these symptoms could also be elements of other symptom clusters for a host
of other diseases. Wait for your doctor to complete the testing. Getting upset
will only exasurbate the problem. What is there is there, your doctor is merely
defining what is there. Without a doctor defining the problem, treatment is not
possible. So knowing what is going on is in your favor.
My MS was not diagnosed until 10 years ago at age 30. I have had symptoms since
age 10 at which time I had a bout of viral encephalitis. Looking in retrospect
the doctors now believe the encephalitis was the catylist for the MS. Had I been
appropriately diagnosed early along, my prognosis may be better at the present
time. I have recently slipped into the progressive form of the disease. So don't
be afraid of disease identification. This is a good thing. Be more concerned
with what is not identified. If something is identified, it can properly be
treated. So breath a sigh of relief because this is a positive in you life, not
a negative.
