This group is a place where people who have suffered as a result of a transference relationship can come to find support and friendship. Anyone who has ever felt that they have been in love with a therapist, psychiatrist, counselor, minister, pastor, teacher, case worker, doctor, surgeon, or the like, you are not alone. Many of us develop deep feelings for authority figures in our life called transference, and in turn we feel we are in love with them. Transference can occur in a variety of forms, that is why there are so many different relationships in which it can happen. In some cases we may have acted on our feelings, or even had the other person act on them. No matter what the situation, this is a group for people suffering from the heartbreak of disillusionment that occurs in a transference relationship. Those of us dealing with such a diffucult issue often need a place to vent. That is what this group is for. Come, speak your mind with us, you will not be judged here.
