Homeopathy is finding itself under regular attack by the Media. The attacks are probably being orchestrated by the rich and powerful pharmaceutical companies who see Homeopathy as a 'threat' to their profits!

Homeopathy has found it difficult to counter these attacks - we do not have the same influence in the media, who will often ignore us, and/or deny us the right of reply. So we have to find different means of doing so.

This egroup has been launched by the ARH to utilise the collective energy of the homeopathic community to present honest and accurate information about homeopathy to the public through the media. Group membership is open to anyone who has a supportive and positive attitude to homeopathy, who wants to help improve the coverage we receive, and willing to spend some time (however little) contacting the media, are welcome.

OBJECTIVES OF THE HOMEOPATHY MEDIA GROUP
- to share and offer support and guidance for members about the way homeopathy can best be presented to the public in local and national media.

- to encourage and utilise the widest possible participation in presenting accurate and honest information to the public about homeopathy.

- to develop an accurate and regularly updated information base on people known regularly to attack homeopathy.

THE MEDIA GROUP WILL

* produce pro-active news releases that confirms homeopathy to be a safe and effective medical therapy.

* when possible give advanced notice to members of any forthcoming media attack to enable quick and appropriate responses.

* report any attack on homeopathy in the media members have seen, and to organise an effective media response.

* encourage members to respond to attacks on homeopathy in both the local and national media.

* offer group members considered 'pro-forma' responses to particular attacks.
