ANSR is a SUPPORT GROUP for PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE SEVERE RESULTS from their Acoustic Neuroma (AN) surgery/surgeries (infection, CSF leak, severe incoherence, deafness, facial palsy, imbalance, dry eye, fatigue, tinnitus, chronic facial cheek nerve pain, visual disturbance, speech problems, coordination difficulties, and the like). It is hoped that association with other members with similar experiences will help prevent the feelings of isolation, loneliness, anxiety, and/or depression. Other AN patients, please see ANA. Our group would not be for you.

Here at ANSR, members usually post MESSAGES PERTAINING TO THEIR ACOUSTIC NEUROMA(S) and OTHER CLOSELY-RELATED TOPICS; the sharing of such AN challenges and possible solutions can be helpful to others in the group. Although the discussions will generally be related to ANs, at times we discuss everyday life happenings, as well. We are an international group and controversial issues (those involving religion, politics, etc.) are best left to other groups or private e-mail--not sent via ANSR group posts.
