I am sorry to hear that your mum has been diagnosed with ALS.
Please visit this link to know what all tests can be done to confirm/ rule out the disease.
I haven't heard of Charak yet but if you give me some more info, I can find out what they are doing and how they are claiming to cure this disease.
SInce it is the beginning, what you can also do is tell your Mum to be physically fit, do mild exercise, even yoga helps give some relief (both physical and mental).
