As we anticipate the landfall of Gustav in the Northern Gulf Coast early
next week as a major hurricane, we would like to urge you to be
personally prepared. Personal preparation greatly improves your outcome
during an emergency situation. We urge you to have on hand the 10 items
most needed during an emergency.
1. Water
2. Non-Perisable Food
3. Manual Can Opener
4. Medications
5. First Aid Kit
6. Flashlight with extra batteries
7. Battery operated or hand crank radio
8. Extra clothes
9. Personal care items
10. Important documents
For more information on how you can be personally prepared, please
contact the Center for Emergency Preparedness, Health Promotion, or me
for a Get 10 Brochure or see our web site at www.adph.org.
Please remain alert and safe.
