ADARA FORUMS PRESENTS “JOB PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH DEAF AND   Message List

As part of the continuing series of on-line discussions, ADARA will
be offering a session on current trends in job placement for people
with hearing loss. The discussion on " Job Placement Opportunities
With Deaf And Hard Of Hearing People" will be led by Dan Labrosse, on
Monday, May 15th at 8:00 PM Central Time (9 PM Eastern time, 6 PM
Pacific Time) in the ADARA Chat Room.

Dan LaBrosse has been in the rehabilitation field for 25 years. He
holds a Master degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Gallaudet
University. He is also the co-chair for the Vocational Placement SIS
with ADARA, and I'm participated in research with Native Americans
and Alaskans that are Deaf or Hard of Hearing that are trying to
access Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

ADARA wants to remind members that continuing education credits will
be awarded for members who participate in the discussion. Each
session will be worth 1.5 contact hours. Please be sure to check the
website (www.adara.org) prior to the discussion for information on
how to obtain CE credits. More enhancements are planned, including
expanded CEU eligibility.

Upcoming forums include "Emerging Trends in Vocational
Rehabilitation, facilitated by Dan LaBrosse on May 15th, Emerging
Technology and Deafness, led by Cindy Camp on June 19th, "Counselor
Credentialing" by Dr. Barry Stephens on July 17th and "Helping Deaf
Child Victims of Trauma" led by Shannon Reese on August 21st and .
Other exciting forums are in development and will be announced in the
weeks ahead.
