Dear ALMHI Group Member:
I would like to extend to you an invitation to join our on-line
discussion group concerning mental health and deafness. Our current
article is a 2004 Journal of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education article
entitled, "Psychological Testing of Sign Language Interpreters" authored
by Brenda C. Seal, James Madison University.
Our resident expert, Steve Hamerdinger, Director of the Office of Deaf
Services, Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation,
will be facilitating the group.
For those interested in participating, you can find the article at
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ALMHI/files/ under the "ARTICLE
DISCUSSIONS" file.
To enter the chat room, you will need to be a member of the ALMHI yahoo
listserv found at
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ALMHI/ from which
you can join the discussion by selecting "CHAT" on the left side of the
screen. You may want to test your access capability prior to April 6th.
You will need to locate and read the article prior to the discussion, so
that you will have a chance to bring your ideas, questions, and concerns
to the chat room. If you have difficulty or questions about connecting
or in securing the article, feel free to contact ODS for assistance.
The discussion is scheduled for April 6, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00
