Family Advocate
The Mental Health Association is seeking a motivated individual to work
as a Family Advocate in their Invisible Children's Program (ICP). The
ideal candidate will have a master's degree in social work or other
health related field, and extensive knowledge of mental illness and
substance abuse. This full-time position will provide intake and
assessments of family's needs; provide individual advocacy for families
including parents and children; plan and coordinate family enhancement
activities including night activities; facilitate small groups; provide
crisis stabilization; and lead education groups as needed. Experience
working with both adult and youth groups is important. Candidates need
to have a flexible schedule and may have to work some weekends. A car,
car insurance and valid drivers license is needed. This position offers
