Subject: Get Out the Vote Workshop

This is the information on the Jim Dickson "Get Out the Vote" workshop
on Thursday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 600 South Court St.
in Montgomery. Please copy this and share it with other organizations
serving people with disabilities in the Montgomery area. I hope to see
you there.

Jim Dickson, vice president of governmental affairs for the American
Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is coming to Alabama to
help organize a nonpartisan "Get Out the Vote" campaign. He has been a
leading force nationally to make voting accessible for everyone. Jim
has organized voter campaigns in 23 states, including one in Missouri
last year. After the Missouri drive, more than 70 percent of the
disability community went to the polls, setting a national record.

We are asking for a $50.00 registration fee per organization to help
defray workshop expenses. Accommodations (sign language interpreters,
information in alternate format, etc) will be available upon request.

Space in this workshop is limited to two organization decision makers,
and time is short. Please return your registration immediately to
ensure a place.
