Hands-on Health is hiring professional male and female therapists for
various independent contracting positions for mobile massage in
Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

These are the basic differences between independent contractors and
employees and benefits and drawbacks to both- it's just depends on
your needs.

As an independent contractor...
*You make MORE money per hour per appointment than an employee.
*You work less hours than an employee, often making the same or more.
*Your schedule is FLEXIBLE and you can take a leave of absence for
vaction, or to study Thai massage in Thailand or to enjoy Valentine's
Day with your sweetie. You are not locked in and can turn down work.
*You need not wear a uniform but suggested professional dress.
*You provide your own equipment and supplies.
*1099 tax forms provided by company when you make over $600 a year.
*You may deduct all work related supplies including miliage, gas,
transportation, music, cd players, massage cream, equipment, etc.
*You can develop your own practice, work at a spa, chiropractor, have
time for yourself and others.


*Work at the BEST hotels, residences, and businesses in the
Washington, D. C. area providing on site table and chair massage! We
focus on great massage and our clients thank us!

*Make excellent money and relax about marketing, rent, or dealing with
`no show' clients. Protocols are in place, appointments screened,
you're well taken care of at Hands-on Health!

*Hands-on Health has low practitioner turn over and has been working
with therapists for years accommodating to their changing lives and
schedules.

*We train and familiarize therapists to five star standards. Extra
tutoring is available on protocol and techniques.

Pay: start at $50 per hour with periodic increases and incentives for
staying on with the company; long-term contracts not required; you
control your schedule, we just ask you to honor it.

Requirements: All therapists must be state licensed in Washington,
D.C., VA, and/or MD, insured, willing to dress conservatively and
follow company protocols. Must have reliable transportation, cell
phone, massage table, (massage cart preferred), and be able to get to
appointments in about an hour. *If you are a recent grad and have
applied for licensure in Virginia or Washington, D.C., you may be
eligible for SUPERVISION which allows you to work for 90 days while
your application is being processed.

your responsibility is to show up on time, professionally attired,
provide your best service, and go- no table, linens, or products required.

About the Company and Owner

Hands-on Health is a therapist-owned and managed company and the owner
fills in when all available therapists are dispatched often working
alongside practitioners- the best way to evaluate practitioners and
train protocols. She has been providing luxury professional mobile
massage to hotels, businesses and homes since 1998 in San Francisco,
CA, and Chicago, IL and has brought her extensive experience to the
Washington, D.C. area in 2001.

Hands-on Health is owned and managed by Angelique Bella, Chair of the
Massage Therapy Board for Washington, D.C. and recent passed president
of the AMTA D.C. chapter (2002-2004). She is an advisor to the
American Medical Student Association EDCAM project and has written the
massage curriculum outline for six medical schools. Ms. Bella also
runs the Foundation for Integrative Therapies nonprofit out of
Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center providing massage for cancer
patients in need (licensed volunteers welcome!)
