The Teal Center in Arlington, Virginia, is looking for experienced
therapists (and highly motivated new graduates with exceptional skill)
to join us. During the next few months we will be adding several
therapists, as we have been invited by Virginia Hospital Center to
provide services to their in-patients, out-patients, staff and visiting
family members and to the community at large. We will begin seeing
clients at the Hospital in temporary space in mid-August. In December
we will move into a three treatment room studio in the newly renovated
Women and Infant Care and Outpatient Oncology wing of the Hospital.
This is an outstanding opportunity for therapists who have
training/experience/interest in medical massage, bodywork for the
childbearing year, modalities appropriate for working with oncology
patients such as various types of still touch and manual lymph
drainage, reflexology, as well as skill in swedish/deep tissue and
specific techniques for pain relief. Therapists, who are independent
contractors, will have the opportunity to see clients both at the
Hospital and at our Center in Arlington and will be paid between 50 and
60 % of fees, depending on experience, and 100% of tips. Therapists
must be available to work some weekend and evening shifts.
