Part-time therapists needed immediately to work at SPAyurveda,
Northern Virginia's
premier medical spa, utilizing the time-tested techniques of
Ayurveda, the world's oldest healing tradition.
Accepted applicants will receive 2 days of training in Ayurvedic
Massage and complementary techniques (Nasya, Swedana, Shirodhara and
Ubtan). Trainees will be paid $25 per day of training. Training
dates: Sun. March 28, 8-5 and Tues. March 30, 8-5.
Salary and benefits:
Starting salary is $15/hour (Please note: Ayurvedic treatments are
less strenuous than traditional forms of massage and require more
time for set-up and clean up of equipment and materials. An hour
treatment will usually take an additional 45-60 minutes of therapist
time.)
Wage increase after 100 hours.
Uniforms provided.
Travel allowance of $15 per day if one-way commute is 30 miles or
more.
15% discount on herbs, products, services, consultations and classes.
10% commission on treatments booked as a result of a therapist's out-
of-spa promotion.
5% commission ($80) on Panchakarma patients booked as a result of a
therapist's out-of-spa promotion.
Monthly brown bag lunch seminars (unpaid) in Ayurvedic Medicine.
Required:
Minimum 6-month commitment of at least 2 days per week
availability. Could be
1 full day, 2 half-days, etc. (SPAyurveda hours are: M-F 8-5, Thurs
til 8, Sat 9-5)
Non-compete agreement.
Rapid response to scheduling calls agreement.
