Our son is 39, so we can see how the problem has faired thru the years. If
the diagnosis is accurate then you have a long endless road to travel on.
Most things by him get learned by rote, but even so, each individual has
variables within the described perimeters. Punishments do not turn into
learning tools, not that you shouldn't, but the results seldom cause any
change in behavior for more than a few days. Wish you well
