I would like to know how it's going homeschooling your son. I have a 13 yo who is getting absolutely nowhere in school and I'm exhausted trying to get him the services he needs. I frankly think that with some help with some tutoring my energies would be better spent homeschooling him. I homeschooled my two older sons for about 2 years a few years ago, so I fully understand the challenges (and rewards) of home schooling. Feel free to email me off-list so as not to clog the list at susan@....
With respect to hygiene, as Josh is getting older, he is doing better with hygiene, but always has to be cued to do it. He will take showers now (for about a year now) with little prodding, but getting him to use soap or shampoo is a tough one and brushing his teeth is still a major battle. What has seemed to work is other people telling him that he smells bad or his breath smells bad. (Note: it does not work if I tell him that, but someone that is not a parent seems to work).
Thanks very much for any feedback on the homeschooling,
Sue
