Hi,
First let me introduce myself...
My name is Amber Perry. I'm in Bend, Oregon, and I was diagnosed with AS
at 21 in 1998. I can honestly say that I'm 26 now and still struggle with
my hygeine. Teeth brushing, bathing, brushing hair. I don't know what it
is. It has to do with the disability, not understanding why appearance is
important for everyday function and to make a good impression for other
people. AS individual will do what's comfortable for them. I think it
takes some coaching and maybe even humiliation (bad I know but true). Hope
this helps.
