Announcement: TREAT Asia Regional Coordinating Secretariat - MSM Programs
TREAT Asia is seeking qualified candidates, from the Greater Mekong
Sub-Region only, for the position of Program Coordinator, MSM
Program, a 2-year contract based in Bangkok.
TREAT Asia (Therapeutics Research, Education, and AIDS Training in
Asia), is a network of clinics, hospitals, research institutions and
community organizations working to ensure the safe and effective
delivery of HIV/AIDS treatments throughout Asia and the Pacific.
The HIV Prevention and Care Interventions for men who have sex with men (MSM) in
the Greater Mekong Sub-region project aims to enhance and strengthen the
capacity of the MSM working groups in Cambodia, China (Yunnan and Guangxi
provinces), Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
Program Coordinator, MSM Program
2-Year contract Based in Bangkok
The program coordinator will be responsible for:
Ø Establishing a collaborative regional network for HIV
prevention and care of MSM in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region (GMS)
Ø Coordinating regional and in-country MSM working group
network meetings
Ø Identifies key regional and in-country groups, assesses
strengths and areas for improvement of the working teams, and
expedites appropriate working structures
Ø Institutes a system for all regular communications,
information sharing, and monitoring with all regional and in-country
stakeholders
Qualifications:
Ø Knowledge of public health and HIV/AIDS policy issues and
exposure to MSM related outreach and services provision a plus
Ø Prior program management skills preferable
Ø Fluency in at least one GMS language is required
Ø Fluency in English, oral and written
Ø Relocation to Bangkok and significant travel regionally and
internationally
