The University of Fiji (UNIFIJI) Fiji Islands and the Indira Gandhi
National Open University (IGNOU), entered into Collaboration

The University of Fiji (UNIFIJI) Fiji Islands and the Indira Gandhi
National Open University (IGNOU), entered into Collaboration to launch
IGNOU programmes, joint programmes and use of IGNOU materials in Fiji
under the Distance Education Project as International Partners. This
Agreement was signed by Prof. Rajesh Chandra, Vice-Chancellor, UNIFIJI
and Mr. Dalip Kumar Tetri, Registrar, IGNOU on behalf of the
respective institutions.

Initialy IGNOU programmes to be launched in Fiji include Master of
Computer Applications (MCA). As per the Agreement UNIFIJI will
identify and indicate other appropriate IGNOU programmes that are to
be offered jointly.

The course material of IGNOU's Disaster Management
and HIV/AIDS shall be utilized by UNIFIJI under the agreement.
