TWO S.KOREAN WOMEN CONTRACT AIDS VIRUS VIA BLOOD TRANSFUSION
SEOUL - Two South Korean women have been infected with the AIDS virus
after receiving a transfusion of HIV-tainted blood, South Korean Red
Cross confirmed Thursday.
The unidentified women, both in their 30s, caught the potentially
lethal virus through transfusion of blood donated by a 23-year-old
man, identified only by his surname Kim, in August 2003, according to
the Red Cross.
