Target Audiences:
Front-line HIV/AIDS care and services providers, including social
workers, healthcare workers, case managers, counselors, educators,
administrators, activists, and persons living with HIV/AIDS.
Description:
The TREAT Asia satellite symposium will spotlight current national
treatment programs from four countries that could influence the
nature of HIV treatment in the region. Experts from these countries
will provide an overview of the programs, as well as their insights
and opinions.
The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion with
the panel in an attempt to answer some of the larger questions of
antiretroviral therapy in the region, such as sustainability and
durability, and the possible ramifications to the region of the
success or failure of the four spotlighted national programs.
