Transfer of knowledge-2005

Since 1997 the Department of Experimental Medicine of the TN DR MGR
Medical University has been conducting the International conferences
on AIDS INDIA. 3500-5000 individuals from all walks of life and
fields have participated and benefited from these conferences. You
have been regularly attending the conference and some of you have
taken interest to support the conf by your financial contribution.

This is to announce that The 5th International Conference on AIDS
INDIA will be held from October 20-24rd, 2005.

The conference is more relevant today than ever before; in the
context of the increasing numbers of the HIV/AIDS cases in India and
the neighboring countries and the paucity of relevant preventive and
Care programmes. In addition ART access to all is still on the
drawing boards of Governments and organizations working with
HIV/AIDS However there are signs of good care programmes that are
in the horizon and this need to be amplified. We need to focus on
relevant research and learn from others as to how they have been
successful in preventing this epidemic and not to take hold in their
soil!

Several issues regarding the prevention and care need to be
discussed and new strategies to be pioneered to make India put a
halt to the incident HIV infections.

We invite you to participate and share your expertise and also
contribute to the scholarships and expenses involved in running the
conference of this magnitude.

This is a unique International Conference that has evolved a good
balance between science at one end and the social issues at the
other.
